9th March 2007 - Friday
Event in the morning: Pre U 2 Fun Day =D
The day when we have fun? no no no..
haha... it's a day where all of us can have fun( that's y is called fun day) and also, to promote team and class spirit... cuz we got Project Work this year.. X_X
Well... we went for assembly as usual, then after the morning assembly, we were briefed by the instructors and teachers.
Millennia Pre U2 classes were split into 4 arena... North, South, East and West...
My class 06s3 got to the North Arena...
06S5, 06B1, 06B4 were in the same area as well...
The Fun Day theme this year was to know more about Singapore's history... we were given clues to go to the destinted venues and checkpoints. Also, the instructor will have a roadblock for us every 45 minutes.
we alighted at Kranji MRT Station by bus. Then as followed by the instructions, our start point would be our ending and reporting point as well...so... the game starts!
Our 1st roadblock was @ Kranji MRT Station. We were to find 1 passer-by and that passer-by must sing the National Atheme with us.
1stly, we went to Kranji War Memorial, by which is our 2nd checkpoint.. but since we got to there, our instructor gave us our tasks.. that is to find the number of stars.
2ndly, we went to some park.. forgot the name.. but we took bus 925 to there... we had our 2nd task and bonus challenge to collect points... that is either to do 10 pull ups or collect and fill the rubbish bag till half filled. so my class chose 10 pull ups.. but luckily, we can send representatives =)
We were running out of time, so we were given a choice, either to go to Bukit Timah Hill or some Fort place..
Thus, we chose to Bukit Timah hill...The instructor told us that there used to be a japanese shrine there... however, it was blown up after the WW(II)...
our task was to hold hand in hand from the starting point till the end point which is the bottom of the stairs... X_X... we started walking in a stright line, then the guys sped up and the line turned into a u shape.. cuz @ 1st was the gals infront and guys @ the back to control the pace.. in the end, one had to walk backwards and my hands were crossed... strange sia.. haha...
As we need to get back to our ending point, we "chiong" back to Kranji MRT Station.. in the end, we were almost 1 hour late... so sorry...
then we had debrief and we were released...
um.... 2nd part of the day...
Afternoon Event : Koyo High School Cultural Exchange =D(from Japan - Okinawa)
After we were dismissed from the fun day, had a quick lunch at bukit batok mac with my friends who need to rush back to host the japanese students.
Then change into AKE Tee and School Skirt...Quickly help the others to move the instruments up to centre stage... and waiting the arrival of the students and staffs from Koyo High School form Okinawa - Japan.
We played 2 songs, of which both are our SYF pieces, Di Tanjong Katong and Dance Fantasy. After that.. we had a quick quick removal from the stage and back to Harmonies. Then we packed up and 4 angklungs were brought down to the canteen for the booth...
4 of the ake members are mending the booth, which includes Yin Whee, Jerine, Seraphine and me =D . . . before that... we had to attend Japanese Lessons conducted by a Japanese a few weeks before...
After a while, the Japanese students came down from centre stage... then suddenly, the canteen was filled with people.. then some jap ppl came to try the angklung, we, the booth mender had to teach them how to play the angklung and we taught them how to play Sukiyaki =)
I tried to interact with them,luckily i understood what they were saying.. cuz they knew english too =D . . . Hajimemashite(How do you do?),Mui Woon desu(My name is Mui Woon) , watashi wa millennia koko no ni nen sei( I'm a second year student from Millennia) .

The japanese students from Koyo high school are coming tml on 9th march.. wa!! so excited...haha
PAE ppl came and went... now JAE batch are here... saw quite a few of my secondary school friends. NAFA test was also over... i only failed my 2.4km run... haiz...
