After HSS Band+Yuying Band concert on monday...i somehow feel that i may not have the chance to perform with them,as in concert with them le...Haha... nvm... now... AKE starts...
Had AKE in the new campus on Tuesday... it was like hell for me... and also maisarah who has just joined ake... cuz we had band concert(Passione & Muziqfest) yesterday and returned to school late... around 11+pm... and the next day.. which is tuesday, we have to be in school by 8.30am...but originally was 9.00am... cuz we were not allowed to roam the school yet...
ya... it was raining... and that morning when i woke up, it was freezingly cold... the temperature in my room was 25 degrees celcius... without the fan being on... OMG.. it was so cold...even though i've already worn my jacket and covered my blanket... haha... that's the consequence of staying on the top storey[10th floor]
ya... then went to ake room, helped to unpack the instruments... the floor was cleaned, mopped... the pbs, melody(s) and bass was assembled... haha... all the wooden planks...
but the worse thing was that... the aircons were not working... not one..but all of them... freaking warm...haha... the opposite temperature of my room...hehe
then... we were released around 12.30pm... ya... then were also told about our Gamelan workshop on wednesday.20.12.06... my slot was in the morning... we were told to meet at Buona Vista MRT Station at 9.00am for the morning slot...
then went for lunch at MAC @ Bukit Batok... went with Chu Ting, Valerie and Jerine... Xue Hong joined us later for lunch @ MAC and also for the discussion of the physics project... cuz it was rejected time and again...
ya... then... after discussing, bought ice cream... the oreo fluffy... very nice! haha... and " suitable" for a rainy cold day..hehe...
then on wednesday... which was yesterday, went for the Gamelan Workshop at holland... we waited at the Bouna Vista MRT Station @ 9am and then walked to Holland V. cold storage where some of us went to get our breakfast...haha...
then the person in charge came to bring us there...
the place was beautifully decorated and we were allowed to choose wat instruments we want to play... then...i was @ 1st playing an instrument...which was kettle like.. made of brass... the music notations were in numbers ... just like it was in chinese orchestra in my primary school...
so i did not had any problem reading them...
then, we were allowed to swop instruments... i swopped with Yin Whee... the 2nd instrument i played was somehow similar to the xylophone... it was nice... made of wood...
we were introduced to the instruments and were taught how to play them... it was fun and enjoyable... we played 2 songs...
then...soon... we were dismissed... Chu Ting,Valeire,Jerine and I went to the Holland V. food court to have lunch... then... after lunch, Valerie and Jerine walked back to Buona Vista MRT station, while Chu Ting and I took Bus 61[towards Eunos] to the outside bus stop as there were only limited buses passing by holland v. we then alight after 4 stops.. crossed the bridge and chu ting went to take bus 855[towards yishun ] and i walked home.. cuz... i lived in the area... haha....
ya.. then today... thursday...
had ake today as well.. also in the new campus... i woke up late... was in kinda of rush...
took bus 61... saw bus 174 and 157... i missed the buses.... so i took bus 61 ddirectly to bukit batok bus interchange... when i reached there... i missed bus 941... so i went to get my breakfast at MAC @ Bukit Batok...
then... while waiting for the bus.. i ate some of my breakfast... bus came.. boarded the bus... and off to school...
some of the year 2s and jerine was there... then... finished my breakfast and discuss the physics project with jerine...
then.. time to go up to harmonic[ake room]
then... we were given a new song... If we hold on together... it was a nice song... and i somehow.. heard it before...
today... i was in kinda of strange mood... the feeling was back once again... the feeling of missing HSS band practices... even though it was just a few days ago... i started to miss the moments of hss band and hss band practices le..... how???
then... we welcomed the new members from jazz band.. 2 clarinet players =D and 1 bass trombone player =D...
ya... then... we also played One Moment in time...
..then we were dismissed... and Valerie,Jerine,Chu Ting, Jasmine and I went around exploring the school... and off we went for lunch @ Bukit Batok Food Court...
Xue Hong came after and had lunch with us also... then.. we discussed out project after lunch... then... we went home...
well... that's all for these few days.. =D

The concert was finally over... after a few weeks of practices, ever since i've finished my promotional exams in school...
In these few weeks... it may seemed long but yet short too...
I've got to know new members... Especially those in clarinet section...
-Francita[sry if i spelled ur name wrongly] , Yun Sum , Herlina , Xing Ning , Si Qi , Geok Cheng, Cassandra , Melissa , May , Liyana, Eleanor , Rita ... sry if i left anyone one out...
During this period, I got to adapt back to being in the band, as i have lost contact in band ever since i got into Millennia Institute... and the current cca that i am in, which is Angklung Kulintang Ensemble, was almost a different thing... even thought both ccas are related to music and playing of instruments...
Even though sometimes i feel very tired, i will try to persuade myself to go for band practices...
especially in the 1st 2 weeks of december... where the concert was coming near...
I love HSS Band alot... as it gives me a sense of belonging...also... as we used to say...one band one sound,one band one soul,one band one family...
yes... we are one family... even thought there are 9 different sections...
the concert ended 2 days ago... today is the 20th dec le... and i missed band... how??? this may be my last concert with hss band le... cuz next year, they are having SYF... and most probably have no concert... and in 2008, even if they have concert, i may not be able to go back and join them... as i will be having my a levels...
i feel sad... when the concert ends... as i don't know when i will be able to see them and be able to join them once again...
Well...now i write about the details on dat day bah...
i was late and had to go to Singapore conference hall directly as i had AKE Outing at Sentosa in the morning... and by the time i reached there, it was already quite late... i think is around 3 pm ++..
set up my clarinet and went to put my belongings when peiwen and margret when backstage...
then... had one last round of hss band rehersal and we had 1 hour to do so... then we went for dinner... it was chicken rice... and we all sat on the floor to eat...
it was pouring then...then... after dinner... sir talked to us and we were told to get ready and tune our instruments at the backstage... then... we were told to go to the stage played some parts of different pieces and then.. kept quiet and waited as the audiences streamed in at around 7.15pm...
then ... the time arrived... the concert started... we started with "Scotland the beauty" ..it was a march... followed by Flight of Valor By James Swearingen,,, the same composer as Into the Joy Of Spring,our 2005 SYF Choice piece... next was Suncoast Carnival... it used to be our 2003 SYF Choice piece... by david shaffer... and next was The Last to defend by the same composer... up next was a light hearted piece entitled Disney Blockbusters... and followed by a cute mini drama... title Ting Ting and the three bears... they were cute and adorable and the audiences enjoyed them... the kids even laughed out loud when the cast did some hilarous actions...and finally our final song for the concert was Highlights from High School Musical, which consits of "Breaking Free","Start Of Something New" and " We're all in this together"... in " We're all in this together", the band members sang and we did some dance... it was so fun.... Mr Salleh sang the solo part as well...
after that, was interval and will be continued by yuying band for the 2nd half of the concert...
the main band members will have to perform again at the combined honor band while the alumnis and the guest players have nothing to do as we were not needed in there... so we went and watched.. some of them were at the side... um... donno how to describe...whereas the rest were at the audience seats...
then... we packed up and went back to school...
there were many familiar faces in the audience...
Yayun,Aaron,Leonard,Ebellia,Edith,Eunice,Alison,Rachel,Yu Ting,YuMin,XiaoWei[Gwen],Edmund,olivia,Gabriel,Lennon,Gary,Sherry and many many more... Thanks them for turning up...
reached school,up the band room,we were greeted by 3 cockroaches! haha..donno where it came from...
then.. help keep instruments and i went home.. it was pouring then,... and it was late... almost 12am... have to rush to take the last bus home... i almost miss the bus...
was really tired le... due to the ake sentosa amazing race,,, in which we walked long distances and even entered the jungle trail to cut through and get to the calsberg tower... where one of the stations were... -_-
then... the following still have AKE in new school...
haha
but... i'm gonna miss hss band...

today... quite sianz leh... mum and brother went to marine square... i stayed at home.. don't feel like going any where... also... still kinda of sick... giddy... running nose...did not go for band music xhange with my sec sch yesterday... cuz i feel sick...
then... the new class list and time table came out yesterday midnight...
yeah... still in 06S3... home tutor is Ms Wang.. holding venue : # 02-15

the timetable sux... tue and thurs have PE... tue end school the latest.. 6.30pm...
today went to MI LINK for new updates...
this is totally crazy...
on mondays, we only need to report to school at 9.15am... crazy rite??
then tues to fridays, we need to report to school.. at 8.00am.. cuz got IRP[reading programme]
this is totally crazy...

we were given boxes to pack our stuffs inside the boxes...
helped out by sealing the base of the boxes..
then...help wrap some of the angklungs...

AKE performance @ Esplanade finally over... i will blog about it on this post...MIAKE -
Millennia Institute Angklung Kulintang Ensemble
We had a 2 days performance @ Esplanade Concourse
27th Novemeber and 28th November 2006
7.30pm to 8.00pm
8.30pm to 9.00pm
Day1...
We were told to assemble in school @ around 11.45am[for pre U 1...] cuz need to finalise the dance steps for the "selamat hari raya" song...
so... had lunch with Yin Whee and Jerine @ the coffee shop behind our school...
Had Laksa... Yummy... was supposed to meet at 11.00am.. but i was late... cuz i went for band practice in the morning @ my secondary School- Henderson Sec...
ya... then after lunch... slowly walk back to school...
then went to media room directly...
haha
yup... then the pre u 1 who are not playing in the "selamat hari raya" song, gathered and we discussed about the dance steps and finalise them...
then... after that... we had a run through once... then ms wee came...
yup... then took a little break..then had a run through again...
then... we had to pack the instruments, wrap them[for the angklungs] and dismantle them[for the kulintangs]
then move them down... from 2nd floor to 1st floor... haiz...haha
then... went back to media room... sat there... talked for a while... then they say can go and have dinner already...
Dinner was Nasi Lemak...
had a quick dinner... then rushed up to get our stuffs as we are not going back to school for the day le..
then... boarded the bus... lalala... finally reached Esplanade...
got our tag[pass] and had to scan in and out when we enter and exit the place...
yup... we were led to the dressing room..where we all place our belongings there... then, the pre u1s were told to change into our cca uniform 1st... then later go help out in the arranging of instruments.
then @ 6.00pm ,there's a sound check...
yup... then... after sound check, we quickly headed back to the dressing room... cuz haven make-up yet...then... after that, we went to the Green room... a resting area... haha... took photos there ...
then at around 7.20pm, the esplanade ppl came to get us...then...went up ... then performance started at 7.30pm ...

then.. changed back our clothes...
and after some announcements from the teachers,
we were dismissed from Esplanade...
Day 2
Met Valerie, Mei Ling, Jerine, Yong Sheng and James at 3.00pm @ City Hall MRT control station... then walked to Marine Square for lunch...
yin whee wasn't able to perform with us for the 2nd day cuz she has a band concert performance with her secondary school at Victoria Concert Hall...
we went to yoshinoya for lunch...
then...walked back to Esplanade... reached there at around 4 ++... no one was around except 2 year 3 seniors...
then went up to the roof... and enjoyed the scenery there... also took some photos up there... then went down to the concourse to gather...
soon, the rest reached and we gathered and the esplanade ppl came to get us to scan our passes...
then this time round,the preu 1s help to move out the instruments and arrange them...
then... the seniors came and help... then pre u 1s go and change uniform...
then 6.00pm, go for sound check, but the preu1s lost our way up to the concourse..but luckily found our way ... with the help of the esplanade ppl... ms wee wasn't here cuz she need to teach till 7.00pm...
then... again, the same routine, went to make up and went to green room... then 7.20pm, went for performance...
then... after the 7.30pm to 8.00pm performance, we went out of the concourse area to the outdoors... then went back... as it seemed strange..haha
then soon... it was performance time again...
ya... then ms wee came :) yeah!
then performance ended... we took a group photo...and pack instruments... then... push them all to the loading and unloading bay... then help to wrap the angklung... then the seniors[some already change back the clothes] told us to go get our stuff and change... lalala..
then... yup.. packed up, quite rush.. cuz they said the bus coming... then... quick quick..haha
then... tap our pass...... and off we go...
but waited for the bus... for quite a loooooong time... haha
then on the bus... lalala... all like still very hyper...
then.. mr pow told us to say our name, favourite ice cream flavor and what we feel after the performance...
then... finally reached school le... then... moved the instruments up and gathered at the pond area... then off we went...
